Before being chosen as a Riverstone employee, each staff member has been police checked and approved. All of our nursing staff must have their up-to-date registration. But it starts with the senior management team, including Riverstone Vice President  Michael Traub who ensures that all staff are fully committed to "customer satisfaction".

With a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Hotel and Food Management, Michael began in career in the management luxury first class hotels. And over the next 20 years, he built on that experience by managing various retirement residences.

He was impressed by the friendly and caring staff who looked after his own grandmother, and excited by the opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives. Michael has been involved in many different and innovative properties since then, building on his reputation as a respected and ethical operator, and earning top ratings from the Ontario Retirement Communities Association.

Now at Riverstone, he is managing a company that aims to be in the forefront of retirement living in the Ottawa area, starting right here with Oakpark.
